Altered Keys

I have been altering all the old keys i have found,
The 2 on the right are for GASMAAMA swap on flickr.
the rest i have made into brooches , necklaces and charms.

I am off tomorrow to Ireland for sons wedding, hope it stops raining.back on Tuesday.

Killer Catalogues WIP

I have had a few catalogues decaying in the garden for a while.

Yesterdays sunshine dried them out nicely. sprayed them with some bleach this afternoon, dried quickly in the sun, covered with Gesso, then sprayed with colourwashes Quink, and walnut ink.

also some rolled up pages, covered in gesso and walnut ink.

Painting day

Our Art group spent the morning painting at Widdecombe in the Moor , Devon.

then back to the club for the afternoon to finish off,

A Busy Week

Hi all, hope you have had a good week and looking forward to the bank holiday weekend?
I have had a busy week, tidying up my workroom, and producing some artwork,
2 altered keys made for GASMAMMA,
2 embellisher needle cases.
1 recycled scarf wool rovings added on the embellisher.
8 ATC,s 2 Venitian masks (top right) for JAV swap 1 Travel, 1 cat, 1 swan, 1 vase, 1 vase, 1 butterfly.
Bride and groom card for my sons wedding.
i also fixed my 2 killer catalogue pages onto canvas frames.
the seaside altered tin is from Margaret (GasMamma).
i know it looks like i have been burning the midnight oil again LOL.
but most of the ATC,s were partly done and just needed finishing, The Keys didn't take long once i got started, i have a few more WIP.

made on the embellisher, then some zigzag stitching added.

Recycled can dolls

The challenge for Flickr MADMAMMA group this month, is to make a doll from drink cans ideally that have been squashed flat. the top one i turned into an oriental doll, and i will keep that one for a while. the bottom one will go into the MADMAMMA trade, i was lucky enough to find the perfect squashed fruit drinks can yesterday, after washing and drying i sprayed it with silver metallic paint, then colour washes,added some google eyes and a jesters hat. punched a couple of holes each side, threaded some wire then added some beads.

The Orintal one i folded into shape, covered with metallic tape, sprayed with colour wash, added a altered piece of CD. added beads to the bottom,
